AutoWarrantyOptions is free to use. Here is exactly how that works today, and the rules we follow if that changes.
Today: no ads, no paid links
Right now the Site has no advertising, no affiliate or commission links, and no sponsored content. No company pays us to appear on the Site or to be described in a particular way, and we do not sell your personal information or our email list. The guides, tools and My Garage are free.
If we add paid links in the future
We may later earn money by referring readers to companies, for example providers of vehicle service contracts. If we do, we will update this page first, and we commit to these rules:
- The answer comes first. Paid offers will appear only below the factual answer on a page, never mixed into it.
- Clear labels. Every paid link, offer box or sponsored email section will be labeled "Sponsored" or "Advertisement," with a disclosure on the page.
- No paid opinions. We will not accept payment to write favorable content, and we will not let any company edit our guides. Our guides explain the downsides and alternatives too, including that a service contract is optional and is not a manufacturer warranty.
- Your choice. You will never pay us anything, using a link will not change the price or terms a provider offers you, and you will be able to opt out of promotional emails separately from everything else.
What we are not
We are not a vehicle manufacturer, dealer, repair shop, insurer, lender or warranty provider, and we are not affiliated with any automaker. We do not review your finances, recommend a specific product for you, or guarantee any result.
